I have a couple of legacy applications that require 64-bit Sparc support that would nice to have running on here. Anything I can do to help debug issues? I have ISOs for 64-bit Solaris 8, 9, 10, and 11, and am happy to test stuff out.

Hi Nick,

Good to hear from you again! Yes, there's been quite a bit of work done
over the past couple of years and qemu-system-sparc64 can now boot
Linux, NetBSD and OpenBSD in -nographic mode. FreeBSD and Solaris are
still currently a work in progress, although my patchset last month is
part of a WIP series to getting Solaris kmdb working which should help
enormously. So yes, despite the limited time available for me to work on
this, things are still moving on :)

I hope to be able to post the kmdb patches soon, so keep an eye out on
the list. There are also some interesting TCG patches on the QEMU list
which should significantly improve the performance of SPARC emulation in
the next release.

ATB,

Mark.
