I will comment that back when 1275 was still active, we noted that 
Apple's implementation had sufficiently diverged from Sun's, Firmworks 
and IBM's implementations (and the standard) that PCI card vendors who 
did FCode ended up shipping two different versions - an Apple version 
and a Sun version.

I just mention this in terms of being careful not to take Apple's 
implementation as a reference standard.
